Hi,
my name is Monique Patel and I’m currently doing my third year in Biomedical
science. I used to have really thick long hair, up to my waist ever since I
could remember but after my second year exams, I felt like experiencing having
short hair but didn’t want to feel guilty about cutting it all off and throwing
it away, so I donated it to wig foundation for little girls who suffer
from cancer.
I
have a little sister who’s taller than me, everyone thinks she’s older because
I have a chubbier face where as she has sharper features. We are like two peas
in a pod, inseparable and we MUST share our day before we go to bed. Out of the
two of us, she’s more immature than I am but I can’t imagine life without her.
I
also tutor children on the weekends and sometimes the weekdays. I like
teaching because it’s the most amazing moment in life when a child looks up at
you with doe-like eyes and knows what you’re talking about, that he understood
whatever I was teaching and that one day it may be useful to him or her.
I
also like to travel; I've been to a lot of places but my list of ‘places I need
to visit’ gets bigger and bigger. I've done a lot of things like been to the
Grand Canyon by helicopter, swam with sting-rays in the Bahamas and been
parasailing on a beach in India but I've never actually ice skated or roller
skated. Not many people my age can say that they've done the things I've done,
but I can't wait to blog. I've never done it before so I'm excited.
